Remember That Sit-In at the Capital That Democrats Held?

Yeah, me neither....

So, it looks like Jeffries thinks he can convince the nation that Democrats are the true patriots, or something.

Several other Democrats joined Booker and Jeffries throughout the day, including Sens. Chris Coons (D-DE), Angele Alsobrooks (D-MD), and Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN).

The two lawmakers appear to be setting the stage for what will be a loud resistance to Republicans in the upcoming session. But given that they have no real power in the legislature, this is all they have – political theater and loud rants. (Townhall)

It Could Save Your Life...

These two things are true: (1) I have friends who are transgender and (2) women & girls' sports should be protected from trans athletes invading their spaces.

This isn't "bigotry" but simple biological science; you can take all the cross-sex hormones available, puberty blockers available, feminizing drugs available....yet because a trans woman was born with XY chromosomes, their body will still have elements of male physiology inside of them - larger bone structure, larger and more powerful muscles, larger and more plentiful lungs....you get the idea. Those are hardwired into our bodies, those of us with XY chromosomes and to have someone who is trans compete against cis-gender women/girls is simply not fair.

Yes, this will likely upset a lot of people (including a few friends of mine) but I will not get along to go along. People who know me know that I treat everyone - everyone! - with the respect and dignity they are due as human beings because we are all created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27)

That part is inviolable - we can argue about it, disagree over this and that, but I will always treat others with respect and dignity as they are due. It does not mean I have to go along with something that twists basic biological science. With very rare exception (intersex conditions and so forth) we humans are born either XY (male) or XX (female) with all the advantages, disadvantages, problems and benefits to go with each.

We should strive to treat others with respect and dignity, yet we should also be affable enough to know when it simply time to "agree to disagree".
